Allen Code Co LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates My Teachers Toolbox (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
When you use our Service, we automatically collect certain information:
We use the information we collect to:
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf:
These providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
When you use our AI features, the inputs you supply for that request (such as lesson plan topics, standards, and objectives) are sent to the provider handling it — in most cases DeepSeek by way of OpenRouter, Perplexity for standards search, or Groq for voice transcription. Each provider processes that data according to its own privacy policy.
We do not attach your student roster, your saved student records, or any other stored data to an AI request; only what that specific tool needs is sent. Student personally identifiable information (PII) therefore reaches an AI provider only if you type it into that request yourself. We do not use your content, or your students' information, to train any AI model. See our Student Data Policy for a fuller explanation.
If you use our team features, information you choose to share (such as lesson plans or resources) will be visible to other members of your team. You control what you share with your team.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or uses of your information.
Connecting Google Drive is entirely optional. Nothing in this section applies to you unless you choose to connect it, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings → Privacy.
We ask Google for two permissions and no others:
drive.file). This is Google’s narrowest Drive permission. It grants access only to files this app itself creates in your Drive. We cannot see, open, search or list any other file in your Drive — not files you created yourself, and not files created by any other app.userinfo.email). We request this for one reason: so we can show you which Google account is connected. Without it, a teacher who connected a personal account by mistake would have no way to tell. When you choose “Save to Google Drive” on a document, activity or week plan, our server builds that one file and uploads it to your Drive as a Google Doc. The upload is the only Drive operation we ever perform. We do not read files back, we do not browse your Drive, and we do not modify or delete anything after it is created — the file is yours from that moment on.
We never send your Google user data to an AI provider, and we never use it to train any model.
To keep the connection working between visits, we store:
We do not store the contents of any file we create in your Drive, and we keep no copy of it after the upload completes.
Disconnecting from Settings → Privacy revokes our access with Google and then deletes the stored connection, including the encrypted token. You can also revoke access directly from your Google account permissions page. Files already saved to your Drive are yours and are not affected — disconnecting does not remove them.
My Teachers Toolbox’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide or improve this feature, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with notice to you; we do not use Google user data for advertising; we do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised; and we do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except for information we are required to retain for legal or legitimate business purposes.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
